Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday met people from various parts of the state at Mukhyasevak Sadan at the Chief Minister’s residence and heard their grievances. During the public hearing, people from different districts raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, education, healthcare, revenue, irrigation, employment, transfers and local development.
The Chief Minister heard the grievances one by one, sought updates from the concerned officials on the status of the cases and directed them to take necessary action in accordance with the rules. He said matters that could be resolved at the departmental level should not face unnecessary delays. He also directed that cases requiring a decision at the government level be submitted promptly through the prescribed process.
The Chief Minister said direct communication between public representatives, the government and citizens strengthens the democratic system. Public hearings provide people with an opportunity to take their grievances directly to the government and also create a pathway for resolving pending matters.
He directed officials to adopt a humane approach while dealing with public grievances and ensure solutions in accordance with the rules. The Chief Minister said the government’s priority is to ensure that every citizen benefits from good governance and that the benefits of government schemes reach those in need on time.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup, Inspector General of Police, Garhwal, Rajiv Swarup, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal and other officials from the Chief Minister’s Office were present on the occasion.
