CM Dhami’s Big Gift: ‘Treasury’ Opened for Drinking Water, Irrigation, and Development Schemes

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given several gifts to the people of the state. CM Dhami approved Rs 1.68 crore for the Water Body Rejuvenation scheme in Ward No. 59 Sitapur Sarovar of Haridwar Municipal Corporation under the Amrit 2.0 scheme, Rs 2.19 crore for water conservation and augmentation at the head of the canal in Raipur development block’s Bandal river under the Irrigation Department, Rs 5.00 crore for the strengthening and modernization of the Bijapur canal head, and Rs 84.45 crore for the Lohaghat Town Pumping Drinking Water Scheme under the Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation.

Budget to be released for these schemes

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also provided financial assistance of Rs 46.56 lakh for maintenance work at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Boys Hostel, Kandoli, Dehradun, Rs 2.00 lakh for High School (Classes 9 to 10) and Rs 3.00 lakh for Intermediate (Classes 11 to 12) to Raja Babu Public Inter College, Asafgrant, Haridwar. He also approved a recurring grant/token grant of Rs 1 lakh per annum as incentive money for Harsh Public Junior High School, Muldaspur Majra, Haridwar.

Budget approved for construction of approach roads

Furthermore, CM Dhami also gave the green light to the approval of Rs 85.22 lakh for replacing the existing underground electrical cables and panels with armored cables and panels of appropriate capacity at the District Jail, Dehradun. In addition, approval has been given for the allocation of ₹54.80 lakh for the construction of a link road in Akhuli Gram Panchayat under the Didihat assembly constituency of Pithoragarh, ₹30.55 lakh as the remaining amount for the construction of the Joshagandhi Nagar to Kotakhadik Imla track in the Dharchula assembly constituency, and ₹83.93 lakh for the construction of a link road from Ghurchu Tok Pantra to Akhuli Tok Burgar in the Munakot development block of the Pithoragarh assembly constituency.

Pension of 20,000 per month

Furthermore, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given the green light for granting a Democracy Honour Pension of ₹20,000 per month to Mrs. Devki Kandpal, wife of late Jayadutt Kandpal, of Kusumkheda, Haldwani, Nainital, effective from May 17, 2023.
