CM Dhami’s Fierce Attack on Congress, Says – “Game of Encroachments Will Not Work on Uttarakhand’s Soil”

Dehradun. Ahead of the Assembly elections in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a sharp attack on Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Questioning Rahul Gandhi’s events, he stated that the Congress has no real issues left. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ (Echo of Students) program is not the voice of students, but an ‘Echo of Lies’.

Calling the Congress a ‘disgruntled uncle’ (Naraaz Phoopha), he accused the opposition of practicing politics based on lies and confusion.

The Chief Minister also targeted Congress over its allegations linking the Haldwani purification incident to casteism. He clarified that the purification and havan were conducted in protest against alleged jihadi slogans and had no connection with casteism. Dhami claimed that the organizers belonged to the Scheduled Caste community, which exposed the reality behind Congress’s allegations.

On the issue of government land, the Chief Minister said Congress is indulging in politics over the matter. He explained that the Uttarakhand Infrastructure and Investment Development Board was established to boost investment in the state, accelerate economic activities, and generate new employment opportunities. According to him, similar systems have previously been set up in states like Punjab and Gujarat.

Counter-attacking Congress, Dhami said that questions have repeatedly been raised about land deals during the Congress regime. He emphasized that the government has attracted investment through the Global Investors Summit and framed policies within legal frameworks. Congress is unable to digest the investments entering Uttarakhand and the employment opportunities being created for the youth.

The Chief Minister claimed that his government has freed nearly 13,000 acres of encroached government land across the state. He added that Congress is troubled by this action as well, yet fails to appreciate the government’s crackdown.

Targeting Congress over the Banbhoolpura encroachment issue, Dhami stated that Congress’s silence exposes its double standards. He reiterated that Uttarakhand’s land is not green grass where anyone can come and graze at will. He reaffirmed that the government will continue to act with total firmness to protect every single inch of Uttarakhand’s land and the original character of Devbhoomi.
