Dehradun: The decision of the Uttarakhand government not to limit the number of pilgrims in the Char Dham Yatra has been welcomed by priests, hotel owners, and travel organizations. Representatives of various groups visited the Chief Minister’s residence to express their gratitude to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and invited him for the temple opening ceremony.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is committed to making the Char Dham Yatra more accessible and convenient while respecting the faith of devotees. He emphasized that ensuring the convenience, safety, and proper arrangements for pilgrims during the journey is the government’s top priority. All concerned departments have been instructed to work in coordination.
He added that the government is continuously working to promote religious tourism and strengthen the local economy. Officials have been directed to ensure that all basic facilities are provided on time so that pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
Organizations associated with the Char Dham Yatra said that this decision will strengthen faith, tourism, and economic activities in the state. It will also benefit the hotel industry, transport sector, and local businesses. Representatives also suggested keeping the online registration system continuously open to make the journey smoother.
On this occasion, representatives from various priest associations, hotel associations, and travel agencies appreciated the government’s preparations and security arrangements and expressed confidence that this year’s Char Dham Yatra will be successfully conducted.
