Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has released its long-awaited transfer and reshuffle list for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. According to the Personnel Department’s order, the responsibilities of 10 IAS officers and one IFS officer have been reassigned, with several key departments undergoing redistribution.
Principal Secretary L. Fanai has been relieved of the Excise Department. Secretary Nitesh Kumar Jha has been transferred from the Information Technology Department and assigned charge of the Panchayati Raj Department. Ravinath Raman, who was heading the Education Department, has been relieved of that portfolio and given charge of the Transport Department.
IAS officer Pankaj Kumar Pandey has been assigned the Information Technology Department. Brijesh Kumar Sant has been entrusted with the Excise Department and will now oversee both the Mining and Excise departments. Surendra Narayan Pandey has been given additional responsibility for the Sugarcane Development and Sugar Department.
IAS officer Jyoti Yadav, who recently returned from central deputation, has been appointed to head the Education Department. Yugal Kishore Pant has been assigned the Secretariat Administration Department, while Ranveer Singh has been given charge of the Finance Department. Abhishek Ruhela has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the State Property Department.
IFS officer Parag Madhukar Dhakate has been relieved of his responsibilities in the Panchayati Raj Department.
Further administrative changes are expected at the government level, as appointments to key positions such as the Director General of Planning and the Director General of Agriculture are still pending following the deputation of the concerned officers to the central government.
