Dhami government completes 4 years; inauguration and foundation laid for 74 development projects worth ₹401.86 crore

Dehradun: The BJP government in Uttarakhand led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has completed four years in office. On this occasion, three-day programs have been launched across the state.

At the main event held at Parade Ground in Dehradun titled “Four Remarkable Years of Uttarakhand Government,” the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a total of 74 development projects worth ₹401.86 crore.

Before the event, the Chief Minister also held a roadshow in the city, accompanied by Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi in an open jeep, greeting the public. Several ministers, MLAs, and a large number of party workers were present.

Key projects inaugurated

The Chief Minister inaugurated several major projects, including an I&D and 15 MLD STP construction work at Sapera Basti under the Namami Gange program, costing approximately ₹7,898.74 lakh. Other projects include a trunk sewer line from Araghar Chowk to Mothrowala costing ₹2,846 lakh, a trunk sewer line from Saharanpur Chowk to Pathribagh Chowk costing ₹1,903.59 lakh, and a drainage restructuring project in Indiranagar Housing Development Colony costing ₹1,860.04 lakh.

Foundation stones laid for these projects

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation for several new projects, including a sewerage scheme for Saket Colony and Canal Road area costing ₹905.20 lakh, flood protection works on the banks of the Bandal River in Serki and Ghantu Ka Sera villages of Mussoorie constituency, and flood protection works in Kudkawala Basti and Athurwala (Sunar village) on the banks of the Jakhan River in the Doiwala area.

Programs across the state

Programs are being organized across the state under the theme “Government for Every Citizen, Four Remarkable Years.” These will run from March 23 to March 25 and are also being broadcast live. Students from schools and colleges are also participating.

Health facilities at the venue

A health check-up camp has been set up at the venue, providing services such as vaccination, disability certification, and distribution of assistive devices. The Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects across the state from the Parade Ground.

Tight security and traffic arrangements

In view of the program, traffic arrangements in Dehradun were modified. The area around Parade Ground was declared a zero zone, and a large number of police personnel were deployed.

Dhami lost from Khatima, won from Champawat

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took oath for the second time in 2022. At that time, he lost the election from the Khatima seat but later entered the विधानसभा (legislative assembly) after winning the by-election from Champawat.
