Dehradun. The Expenditure-Finance Committee meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, at the Secretariat approved important projects related to the state’s sports, tourism, prisons, and infrastructure projects.
Approval for Stadium and Golju Corridor in Champawat
The meeting approved the construction of a stadium at Gorlachaud Ground, located in the Champawat district headquarters, under the Chief Minister’s announcements.
The construction of the Shri Golu Devta Corridor under the Golju Corridor project was also approved.
The Chief Secretary directed that the corridor proposal be prepared with the temple as its centerpiece and include a glimpse of Kumaon’s traditional culture and natural beauty.
Sewerage Project Approved in Dehradun
The proposed Amwala Tarla Sewerage Project, costing ₹1788.34 lakh, was approved under the ring fencing program in the Amwala Tarla area of Dehradun district.
Expansion of Sitarganj Central Jail
An amount of ₹3,814.72 lakh was approved for the expansion of Sitarganj Central Jail.
Construction of Sports University Building in Haldwani
A plan worth ₹2,679.37 lakh was approved for the construction of the administrative and academic building and a 100-bed hostel for the proposed Sports University in Golapar, Haldwani.
Special Chief Secretaries Amit Sinha, Dilip Jawalkar, S.A. Adnki, Ranveer Singh Chauhan, Dheeraj Garbyal, along with officials from relevant departments, were present at the meeting.
Important decisions were taken in this meeting of the Expenditure-Finance Committee to strengthen the state’s infrastructure, sports facilities, and tourism development.
