Film ‘Godan’ made tax-free in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami makes the announcement, says such films develop positive thinking in society

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has decided to make the film ‘Godan’, based on farmer traditions, rural life, and the importance of cattle, tax-free in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued instructions in this regard. After being made tax-free, ticket prices will be reduced for the audience, allowing more people to watch the film. The film ‘Godan’, produced and directed by Vinod Chaudhary, was released in cinemas across the country on February 6. This approximately two-hour-long film depicts the religious, social, and practical importance of the cow.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the cow is not only a subject of religion and faith but also an integral part of Indian culture, society, and the rural economy. Such films develop positive thinking and sensitivity in society, therefore, such films should be encouraged.
