Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with beneficiaries during the Minority Morcha Metropolitan Beneficiaries’ Conference held in Dehradun. He said the state government is committed to ensuring that welfare schemes reach the last person in society without any discrimination.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the benefits of welfare schemes are reaching eligible beneficiaries directly, and the double-engine government is working to bring every section of society into the mainstream of development.
He informed that the Uttarakhand government has dissolved the Uttarakhand Madrasa Board and constituted the State Minority Education Authority, which aims to provide modern, quality, and employment-oriented education to students from minority communities.
CM Dhami also said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), describing it as a historic step towards ensuring equal rights, dignity, and justice for women.
He added that the government is continuously working in the areas of women’s empowerment, youth employment, farmers’ welfare, healthcare, education, housing, drinking water, roads, and social security. He urged beneficiaries to spread awareness about government schemes among other eligible citizens.
During the programme, beneficiaries shared how they had benefited from schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, self-employment initiatives, skill development programmes, and social security schemes, and expressed gratitude to the government.
The event was attended by Cabinet Minister Khajan Das, MLA Vinod Chamoli, former Cabinet Minister Dinesh Agrawal, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, office bearers of the Minority Morcha, public representatives, party workers, beneficiaries, and other dignitaries.
