Dehradun: The “Mere Sapno Ka Uttarakhand” campaign, launched on the initiative of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has received an overwhelming response from students across the state. As many as 267,744 students of Classes 11 and 12 shared their ideas and suggestions regarding the future of Uttarakhand through essays.
Under the campaign, students expressed their views on eight key subjects, including tourism, employment, social development, forests and environment, education, health, and technology. During the “Chief Minister’s Youth Student Dialogue” held on August 10, CM Dhami had invited students to share their ideas on the portal by August 24.
A total of 296,426 students are currently studying in Classes 11 and 12 across the state. A large number of them participated in the campaign and presented their thoughts and suggestions regarding Uttarakhand’s development.
100% Participation in Five Districts
All students of Classes 11 and 12 in Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, and Chamoli uploaded their essays on the portal. Participation stood at 98.82 percent in Pauri, 97.46 percent in Almora, 91.77 percent in Haridwar, and 91.57 percent in Tehri.
In Dehradun, 47,358 out of a total of 63,666 students shared their ideas.
140 Best Ideas to Be Selected
The essays received are being evaluated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and a team of experts. The results of the best ideas will be announced on September 16. A total of 140 best ideas will be selected under the campaign.
The selected students will get an opportunity to discuss their ideas with senior government officials and secretaries. Chief Minister Dhami himself will also interact with these students to learn about their suggestions and their vision for the Uttarakhand of the future.
Students to Receive Digital Certificates
Every student who participated in the campaign has been issued a digital certificate. Students presenting the best ideas will also receive various incentives and awards, including support for career development and preparation for competitive examinations.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the ideas of students have the potential to give a new direction to Uttarakhand today. He said that young people will also be made participants in realizing the Uttarakhand they dream of.
