Dehradun: Following the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has taken an important decision to further strengthen, make more effective, and expand public service. The duration of the “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” campaign, which aims for the quick resolution of public grievances and bringing governance closer to the people, has been extended.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department under the guidance of Chief Minister Dhami, this campaign will now be conducted in all districts of the state until February 20, 2026. Previously, the campaign was scheduled until January 31, 2026, but it has been extended by 20 days in view of the positive public response and the effective resolution of a large number of complaints and suggestions received at the camps.
Thousands of people have already benefited directly
It is a result of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s people-centric approach that through these camps, which have been organized across the state since December 17, 2025, the problems of common citizens are being resolved on the spot. Complaints related to various departments, including Revenue, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Police, and Municipal Corporations, are being resolved quickly, providing relief to the public.
Areas not yet covered will also be included
Chief Minister Dhami has instructed that areas where camps have not yet been held under the campaign must also be included during the extended period, so that no citizen of the state is deprived of this public service campaign.
Chief Minister’s clear message
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government’s priority is to bring governance to the people’s doorstep. He said that the “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” campaign is not just a program, but a bridge of trust between the people and the government. Resolving every citizen’s problem is the government’s responsibility, and we are working with full commitment towards this.
Instructions given to District Magistrates
As per the Chief Minister’s instructions, all District Magistrates have been directed to submit the campaign’s program outline to the General Administration Department soon. Instructions have been given to provide the necessary resources and ensure the regular organization of camps as per the rules, so that the campaign can be carried forward smoothly, transparently, and effectively.
