Dehradun: Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand government has taken an important step towards the welfare of police personnel by approving the free allotment of 90 square metres of vacant land to the Police Department in New Tehri.
The land, located adjacent to Residential Building No. 12, C-Block Type-3 in Tehri Garhwal district, has been allotted for the welfare of police personnel.
In this regard, Chief Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram has directed the District Magistrate and Rehabilitation Director, Tehri Dam Project, New Tehri, to complete the necessary formalities. The government has also instructed the authorities to ensure the allotment in accordance with the rules and submit a compliance report.
Chief Minister Dhami said the state government is continuously working to improve the welfare and infrastructure available to police personnel. He said the land allotment will help expand essential facilities for the Police Department and further strengthen welfare measures for police personnel.
The Chief Minister added that safeguarding the interests of police personnel, who play a vital role in maintaining law and order, remains a top priority of the government, and efforts to improve facilities for them will continue.
