Preparation of population control law in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami gave indications

 Dehradun: After implementation of Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand, now the state government is also preparing to move forward regarding a population control law. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while giving indications in this regard, said that the government is continuously making efforts to maintain the demography and cultural identity of the state.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country where Uniform Civil Code has been implemented. In the coming time, work will be done to move forward after discussion on other important laws as well. He said that the government is seriously working to ensure that the demography of the state does not change, the cultural heritage of the state remains safe, and any kind of infiltration can be prevented.

Actually, assembly elections are to be held in Uttarakhand in the year 2027. In such a situation, major political parties of the state are working on their respective strategies. While BJP is preparing to form the government for the third consecutive time, Congress is also putting full strength to return to power. In such an environment, discussion regarding population control law has intensified and it is being believed that the government may take concrete steps in this direction.

The Chief Minister also reacted to the question of law and order in the state. He said that under “Operation Prahar” being run in the state, strict action is being taken against criminals. Due to this campaign, many criminals have come under the grip of the police and fear of law has also been created among criminals.

He informed that under the campaign, criminals, gangsters, and people involved in serious cases are being identified and strict action is being taken against them. The goal of the government is to further strengthen law and order in the state so that the general public can live in a safe environment.
