Haldwani: During his visit to Nainital district, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met members of the public and local representatives at the Circuit House in Haldwani-Kathgodam on Sunday and listened to their grievances. During the interaction, the Chief Minister instructed concerned officials to resolve complaints promptly on the spot.
The Chief Minister said that timely and satisfactory resolution of public issues is the state government’s top priority. He directed officials to deal with matters related to the public with sensitivity and seriousness.
During the public hearing, issues related to drinking water supply, poor condition of rural roads, electricity supply, and irrigation were prominently raised. The Chief Minister directed the Drinking Water Corporation to arrange water tankers as required during the summer season and ensure that defunct tube wells and hand pumps are repaired quickly.
He also instructed the Public Works Department to make damaged link roads pothole-free on a priority basis and directed the electricity department to ensure uninterrupted power supply according to the scheduled roster. The Chief Minister made it clear that negligence in public welfare works would not be tolerated and accountability of responsible officials would be fixed.
Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaida, MLA Sarita Arya, office bearers Anil Kapoor Dabbu and Dinesh Arya, the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police, other departmental officers, and local citizens were present on the occasion.
