The post of Director General of Agriculture and Horticulture had been vacant for a long time. Earlier, Vandana had been holding the charge, but the post fell vacant after she went on central deputation.
Under the latest changes, Vijay Kumar Jogdande, who is handling election-related responsibilities, has also been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary, Home. The responsibilities of Additional Secretary, Housing, held by Vinod Giri Goswami, and Additional Secretary, Social Welfare, held by Provincial Civil Service officer Sunderlal Semwal, have been withdrawn.
Secretariat Service officer Sunil Singh has been given the additional responsibility of Additional Secretary, Housing. Meanwhile, Mahima Raukali, who had been awaiting a new assignment following her promotion, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Revenue and Sainik Welfare.
The changes at the government level are currently being considered a routine reshuffle.
