Dehradun: Political activity in Uttarakhand has intensified once again. The government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has decided to convene a one-day special session of the विधानसभा (Legislative Assembly) on April 28. Preparations at the administrative level are in full swing, and necessary formalities are being completed.
According to information, this special session will be different from regular legislative business and is likely to focus mainly on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act and related issues. It is believed that the government will use this session to strongly present its stance on women’s reservation.
Condemnation motion may also be introduced
Sources suggest that a condemnation motion may also be brought during the session, which is considered significant in the current political context. Amid the national political backdrop surrounding the amended women’s reservation bill, this special session is being closely watched.
