Dehradun: Police have registered a case in connection with the assault on Director of Primary Education Ajay Nautiyal at the Uttarakhand Primary Education Directorate in Dehradun. Ajay Nautiyal filed a complaint in Raipur. Based on that complaint, police have filed a case against BJP MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and his supporters.
In his complaint, Ajay Nautiyal accused MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and his accomplices of entering the office, assaulting him, abusing him, vandalizing his office, and threatening to kill him. According to Ajay Nautiyal’s complaint, on Saturday, February 21, at around 12:10 p.m., MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, along with his supporters, arrived at the Primary Education Directorate in Nanurkheda without prior notice and entered his office.
It is alleged that the Chief Administrative Officer and other employees were discussing departmental matters in the office at the time. Upon entering the office, the MLA ordered the employees to leave and allegedly abused them.
It is alleged that after the employees left, the Director was subjected to abusive and repeated threats. The door was locked from inside, and the Director was threatened with death. Seeing the situation escalate, office staff informed the police helpline 112.
It is alleged that when the door was opened shortly afterward, attempts were made to intervene, but according to the complaint, the MLA and his accomplices began assaulting them. Female employees were also subjected to indecent behavior.
The Director has alleged that the Director and some employees were injured during the altercation. The Director also accused MLA Umesh Sharma and his supporters of tearing up office files and taking away some documents. Office furniture was then thrown and thrown. He reportedly suffered serious injuries to his eyes and face, and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Raipur Police Station in-charge Girish Negi stated that based on a complaint filed by Ajay Kumar, Director of Education, Directorate of Primary Education, a case has been registered against MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and others and the police are investigating the matter.
Cause of Dispute: This entire controversy began over the renaming of a government school. In fact, BJP MLA Umesh Sharma Kau arrived at the Directorate of Primary Education with his supporters. He demanded the renaming of a government school in Raipur, leading to an argument between Director of Primary Education Ajay Nautiyal and MLA Umesh Sharma, which later escalated into a physical altercation. The Director clarified that renaming any government school is decided at the government level and this decision does not fall within his jurisdiction.
