Dehradun: A major conference will be organized in Haldwani to mark the completion of four years of the Dhami government. India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the event as the chief guest and address party workers.
State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt said during a media interaction at the party headquarters that preparations for the March 21 conference in Haldwani have been intensified. He added that a large number of party workers and members of the public are expected to attend.
He said that similar to the conference held in Haridwar in the presence of the Home Minister, a major program is now being organized in the Kumaon region.
Targeting the Opposition
Responding to opposition allegations regarding the assembly session, Mahendra Bhatt said BJP legislators raised several issues related to public welfare in the assembly, whereas the opposition focused only on disruptions.
He stated that BJP legislators are responsible representatives of the people and effectively raised regional problems before the government through the assembly. In contrast, he said Congress legislators did not consider it necessary to raise enough public issues, which shows that the opposition has run out of meaningful agendas.
Statement on Membership Campaign
On questions regarding the membership drive and new people joining the party, Mahendra Bhatt said that according to the opinion of the party’s joining committee, all new and old workers from political and social fields are welcome to join the BJP.
