Dehradun: A meeting of the State-Level Evaluation and Monitoring Committee related to Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition, Mission Vatsalya, and Mission Shakti under the Women and Child Development Department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. A detailed review of all schemes was conducted, and necessary directions were issued during the meeting.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure 100 percent distribution of Take Home Ration through the Face Recognition System and asked for all necessary arrangements to be completed at the earliest.
He instructed that district-level interdepartmental coordination committee meetings be conducted regularly and on schedule so that better coordination among departments can be established and issues can be resolved promptly.
The Chief Secretary emphasized ensuring electricity and drinking water facilities at all Anganwadi centers. He said that a list of centers lacking these facilities should be shared with the concerned departments, and funds would be provided wherever necessary.
He also directed that vacant Panchayat buildings be utilized for Anganwadi centers that do not have their own buildings. These buildings should be repaired if required and used as Anganwadi centers, while unsafe buildings should be demolished and replaced with new structures.
The Chief Secretary also instructed that third-party audits be conducted for all government-run and voluntary childcare institutions operating under the department.
Principal Secretary Amit Kumar Sinha, Secretary Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Dr. V. Shanmugam, Ranveer Singh Chauhan, and several senior officials were present in the meeting.
