Nainital/Kaladhungi: The annual literary convention “Abhivyajana 5.0,” held in the historic town of Kaladhungi amidst the scenic beauty of Uttarakhand, brought together literature enthusiasts from across the country. Organized by the Lalit Foundation, the three-day literary gathering witnessed the participation of over 400 poets, writers, literary figures, and emerging creators. The event focused on literature, culture, national consciousness, and encouraging younger generations to connect with Hindi literature.

CM Dhami: Poets Are Guides of Society

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp before the image of Goddess Saraswati. In his address, he said poets are not merely creators of words but also thinkers, guides, and sources of inspiration for society. He noted that literary figures have played a significant role in India’s freedom movement as well as in social awakening.

Sharing Memories with Kumar Vishwas

The Chief Minister recalled his long association with renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas, sharing an emotional memory from a programme dedicated to martyrs. He said Kumar Vishwas’s performance had deeply moved him, and the moment remains vivid in his memory even today.

A Blend of Patriotism, Humour, and Emotion

The convention featured celebrated literary personalities who enthralled audiences with their performances. Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Chakradhar entertained attendees with his sharp wit and satire, while Dr. Hariom Pawar created a patriotic atmosphere through his powerful poetry. Dr. Kumar Vishwas mesmerized the audience with his signature poetic style.

The event also paid tribute to the contributions of legendary literary figures such as Sumitranandan Pant, Chandrakunwar Bartwal, Shailesh Matiyani, and Gaura Pant ‘Shivani’.

Proposal for ‘Pant Sahitya Niwas’ in Kaladhungi

During the programme, Dr. Kumar Vishwas presented a unique proposal before the Chief Minister. He suggested establishing a permanent literary retreat and creative centre for poets and young writers in Uttarakhand’s serene environment.

He announced that if the government provides land for the project, he would personally contribute ₹1 crore toward its development. He also proposed naming the centre “Pant Sahitya Niwas” or “Prakriti Niwas.” CM Dhami assured that the proposal would be considered positively.

Tribute to Young Poet

The convention began with a two-minute silence in memory of Piyush, a young poet from Central India who recently lost his life in a road accident. Chief Minister Dhami, Kumar Vishwas, and other literary figures paid tribute to the late poet and expressed condolences to his family.

Platform for Emerging Talent

One of the highlights of Abhivyajana 5.0 was the opportunity it provided to hundreds of young poets and creators from across the country, including those promoting literature through social media. Distinguished personalities who have made significant contributions to literature and society were honoured with the “Abhivyajana Samman.”
