Panchkula: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami appealed to the youth to stay away from drug abuse and channel their energy into sports and nation-building. Attending the ‘Namo Cricket League’ at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula on Friday, the Chief Minister administered an anti-drug pledge to the youth present.
During the event, CM Dhami stepped onto the cricket pitch himself, batting against bowling from Tarun Bhandari, Political Secretary to the Haryana Chief Minister, and striking a shot across the boundary line.
Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami stressed that youth should be visible on sports grounds rather than falling into the trap of substance abuse. He noted that sports play a vital role in keeping young people healthy while fostering discipline, self-confidence, and team spirit.
