‘Government at Every Doorstep’ Campaign Draws Massive Response; Over 46,000 Citizens Benefit Across Uttarakhand

Dehradun: The ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ (Government for Every Citizen, At Every Doorstep) Service, Good Governance and Dedication Fortnight campaign, launched across Uttarakhand on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, continues to receive an overwhelming public response. Since its launch on July 4, more than 46,000 people have participated in the outreach camps, with over 11,000 beneficiaries availing themselves of various government welfare schemes and nearly 2,000 public grievances being resolved on the spot.

The initiative aims to spare citizens from repeated visits to government offices by delivering government services directly to their doorsteps. Special camps are being organized at the district, block, and tehsil levels, where officials from departments including Revenue, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Social Welfare, and Health are available to address public grievances and facilitate access to government schemes.

According to official data, by July 6, a total of 46,151 people had attended the camps. Among them, 11,667 beneficiaries received assistance under various welfare schemes, while 1,961 public complaints were resolved. Services provided include Ayushman cards, social welfare pensions, revenue certificates, agricultural equipment, seeds, and other beneficiary-oriented schemes.

Dehradun district recorded the highest participation, with 30,410 attendees, of whom 7,721 benefited from various schemes. This was followed by Haridwar (2,859 participants), Champawat (2,537), Pithoragarh (over 1,700), Pauri (1,627), and Almora (1,401).

The state government said the campaign represents a significant step towards extending good governance to every village while ensuring swift grievance redressal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated that the government remains committed to serving citizens through the principles of “Simplification, Solution, and Satisfaction” and will continue organizing such outreach programmes to deliver public services closer to people’s homes.
