Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 14 IAS and 34 PCS officers late on Sunday night. The exercise has brought changes in several key departments and districts, including the Medical Education Department, Revenue Board, Rural Development, Secondary Education, Information Technology and Electronics, and the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission.
Among the prominent changes, Neha Sharma has been relieved from the post of Secretary, Medical Education Department, while IAS officer Dr Vishram, who was serving as Additional Commissioner of the Vindhyachal Division, has been appointed Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue, Prayagraj.
The government has also replaced the Chief Development Officers (CDOs) of Saharanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Ambedkar Nagar.
Neha Sharma Removed as Secretary, Medical Education
Neha Sharma, who was appointed to the Medical Education Department in July 2026, has been relieved from the post of Secretary, Medical Education Department. She was serving as Director General and Secretary of the department.
The latest order specifically relieves her from the position of Secretary, Medical Education Department, Uttar Pradesh Government.
Dr Vishram Gets Revenue Board Assignment
Dr Vishram, who was serving as Additional Commissioner of the Vindhyachal Division, has been appointed Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue, Prayagraj.
Vishram had earlier made headlines for singing Birha folk songs in Prayagraj. He was serving as Additional Commissioner of the Mirzapur-Vindhyachal division at the time.
A 2010-batch PCS officer, Vishram was promoted to the IAS by the Uttar Pradesh government in January 2026.
Devendra Kumar Singh Kushwaha, who was serving as Special Secretary and Director of the Silk Department, has also been appointed Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue, Prayagraj.
Major Changes in CDO Postings
Saharanpur CDO Sumit Rajesh Mahajan has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission. He has been replaced as CDO of Saharanpur by Dr Sunil Kumar Verma, who was serving as Additional Commissioner in the State Tax Department.
Lakhimpur Kheri CDO Abhishek Kumar has been transferred as Special Secretary, Information Technology and Electronics Department. Yoganand Pandey, who was Additional District Magistrate (City), Ayodhya, has been appointed the new CDO of Lakhimpur Kheri.
Similarly, Anand Kumar Shukla, CDO of Ambedkar Nagar, has been appointed Special Secretary and Director of the Silk Department. Vaibhav Mishra, Additional District Magistrate (Finance/Revenue), Kushinagar, has been appointed the new CDO of Ambedkar Nagar.

Rahul Singh, who was Special Secretary in the Information Technology and Electronics Department, has been transferred as Special Secretary, Public Works Department.
Sahab Singh, Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue, Prayagraj, has been appointed Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department.
Ashok Kumar Kanojia, Joint Director, Youth Welfare, has been appointed Special Secretary, Secondary Education Department.
Arun Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Aligarh Division, has been appointed Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.

The government has simultaneously transferred 34 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers. The reshuffle affects senior field-level officers serving as Additional District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other administrative officials.
Several districts, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Prayagraj, Bahraich, Deoria, Kasganj, Etah, Mirzapur, Baghpat, Jalaun and Agra, have received new Additional District Magistrates.
The government has also changed several SDM postings and appointed new Additional Municipal Commissioners in Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Mathura.

Administrative Reshuffle Across Key Districts
The latest orders have altered the administrative leadership structure in several important districts while also shifting senior officers to state-level departments and development authorities.
The appointment of new CDOs in Saharanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Ambedkar Nagar, along with changes involving Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bahraich, Deoria, Baghpat, Etah, Mirzapur and Jalaun, forms a significant part of the field-level reshuffle.
At the urban administration level, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Mathura Municipal Corporations have also received new Additional Municipal Commissioners.
